Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will The manage the Synthetic Separations group, supervising and mentoring staff, prioritizing workload, designing the future state of the group, and serving as a technical expert for the group.
Key Responsibilities:
- The successful candidate will manage the Synthetic Separations group, supervising and mentoring staff, prioritizing workload, designing the future state of the group, and serving as a technical expert for the group.
- You will develop custom separation, detection, and quantitation methods to solve analytical problems encountered in various areas of small, hybrid, and large molecule discovery.
- Utilization of a diverse set of instruments and technologies, such as (but not limited to) HPLC, SFC-MS, HPLC-MS, CE, mass-directed purification, and preparative SFC is necessary.
- In addition, you will support drug discovery teams by developing chromatographic methods and processes for the analysis and purification of small and hybrid (mRNA, LNP, siRNA, peptides, and oligonucleotides) molecules to support discovery efforts.
- The successful candidate is also expected to actively participate in research efforts directed at improving process efficiencies, expanding the range of assays and applications, and improving technologies and infrastructure, from conceptualizing to experimental design through implementation.
- Additional responsibilities include participating in national and international scientific meetings and providing scientific reports that support the generation of publications, patents, or regulatory submissions.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of scientific experience OR
Master’s degree and 6 years of scientific experience OR
Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of scientific experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 6+ years of post-doctorate experience in academia or the biopharmaceutical industry.
Possess an in-depth understanding of analytical and purification processes to support small, hybrid (mRNA, LNP, peptides, siRNA, oligonucleotides), and large molecules.
Two years of experience with mRNA/LNP analysis and/or purification.
Established scientific reputation in the field of chromatographic sciences as evidenced by external publications and presentations.
Strong working knowledge of drug discovery and the development of therapeutics.
Experience working in a cross-functional, matrixed, and global research organization.
Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead and motivate a team of scientists, and to be actively engaged in their career development.
Outstanding leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

The annual base salary range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $164,839-184,739.
